Here is one more PIF idea to consider. Captivating International, an Australia charity, in partnership with ProlifiGreen, a non-profit organization in China, are running PIF projects in China to help earthquake victims out of poverty and enable them to help others. More information about the projects is available in http://captivating.org and http://prolifigreen.org.

I would like to contribute with an idea that has worked wonders for me and is also kind of "contagious". When someone in a group of people starts criticising someone else who at the time is not present , some people simply listen to what is being said, while others rejoice adding more information and judgements to demerit the person who is being attacked. If ONE inthe group suggests something positive about the victim of gossip ( saying the information could be wrong or stating that on the other hand this person has important virtues or assets), those who have been listening will be prone to believe the positive message, and probably the attackers will at least stop the gossip. And this situation keeps coming up in everyday life, at work, in social meetings and within families, giving us the chance to be good to someone, even if he/she never finds out what we did for him/her.
