The PIF Card
Did you get one of these?
One of the ‘cool’ concepts of our movement is the idea of using ‘business cards’ to encourage others to join the movement, and pass the kindness forward. We are now on our fourth version of the PIF card, and will probably continue to improve it over time.
If you received one of these, please tell us your story! (go to the Good Deed register section for that) One of our main aims is to create an active community of PIF’ers that helps us achieve our goal: 1 million PIF cards in active circulation by December 2,012.
Below are some card samples with versions 2 & 3 of the card. Feel free to download them, improve them, print them, and use them. Plagiarism in our case truly is the best compliment we can get!
Version 2: The Card without space for a PIF-ID
Front:
Then put it to good use : Do a RAK, and pass it forward!!
Version 3: The Card with more explanation, and space for a PIF-ID
Front:
Back:
Version 4: Now on only one side, and a much simpler message
Special thanks to Kevin Dooley for his generosity in making the photo available for free under an attribution Creative Commons license
USING THE CARD
Just print it, cut it, and join the movement!
If that sounds like too much work, let me make an offer to make it easier for you: send me an email (info [at] pifaustralia [dot] org ), and I will print some cards and mail them to you at no cost to get you started.
Want professional looking cards? Send me an email, and I will send a PDF document with the card laid out in such a form that you can take it to one of many professional (and cost effective) business card printers around Australia (guidance: You can get about 500 cards for less than $100) . Do not live within Australia? I will point you in the direction of Internet bureaus that are VERY affordable.
HELP US IMPROVE!
Have some ideas on how to make the card more effective at inciting action? Send us your comments by emailĀ (info [at] pifaustralia [dot] org ) and we will incorporate the best suggestions into new card & web site designs.

Hi
I was just wondering if we make up our own PIF Id or do you create one for us?
On another point have you managed to find a web designer yet?
Kind regards

The links to the Front and back of the card a re broken. While a nice idea this whole site and links from it reek of death alas with no real obvious activity or enthusiasm for months for a year even. Sorry, but critical mass is way not reached … and the malaise of “who cares?” is plastered all over this site (suggesting to me it would do more service to its cause by simply ceasing to exist).
DIEGO’s RESPONSE:
Thank you for aletring me to the issue with the images; I have now fixed them, so they should be visible to all. You are right that critical mass is not reached yet; that doesn’t mean, however, that we shall all give up. I am sorry that you can’t feel the enthusiasm or activity that has gone into the site lately; if you look at the Reflections section you will notice we have been writing stories on a regular basis, with the last one being a couple of months old (sep ‘08).
Thanks anyway for dropping by and contributing to the site,

The Pass It Forward Movement http://www.aunitedworld.org loves the concept of what you are doing. The pictures of the front and the back of the cards are not showing up. Just a little x in the top left corner. Take a look at http://www.aunitedworld.org/fiscal.asp and see some other PIF programs

As your volunteer mentor, I will help you find your purpose, so that you can develop you passion and bring your creative program to the world. In a private 30 minute chat, I will be your mentor and train you to mentor others at the same time if you wish so you can pass it forward too. Together we can make a difference! Contact aunitedworld@gmail.com to set up a free 1/2 hour chat. There is never any charge for our services as we are all volunteer mentors representing the Pass it Forward Movement.

Hello,
I read about this site in a magazine. What exactly do we do with the cards? cani join the movement without it?
DIEGO’s RESPONSE:
thanks for your interest in our movement. Yes, of course you can join in without the cards. All you need to do is start actively doing Acts of kindness for strangers, and build it as a part of your life. Ideally, you will find a way (even if it is just a comment to the recipient) to encourage the person for whom you do the act of kindness to pass the kindness forward.

I was in fact wanting to start something similar - “The Brisbane Bounce” and was in the middle of getting the little cards made up when I discovered this idea! Incredible…. I think it’s an amazing concept, and am admirable at your progress and determination! Fabulous! Beck xo
DIEGO’s RESPONSE:
Thanks for the kind words. I am happy that you found us, and that you are determined to do something like this. If you want some PIF cards, drop me an email your postal address at info@pifaustralia.org and I will happily send you some samples over the mail.

It’s the first time I commented here and I should say you share genuine, and quality information for other bloggers! Good job.
p.s. You have a very good template . Where did you find it?
DIEGO’s RESPONSE:
Thanks for your encouragement; since I started this journey, I’ve had a genuine desire to make a real (even if small) difference in the world. I am happy that comes across in my publishing efforts.
I found the template through the template Gallery at wordpress.com (where the host was originally hosted). I did a bit of tweaking, and was quite happy with the results. If you want to use the template, just Google Wordpress Garland Theme

Dear PIF,
i read your article in Reader’s Digest. Upon reading your article, it gave me a light lift. I equate happiness to kindness. i said to myself -”this is I!”. kindness is self-sacrifice and regard to our fellowmen. it is better that i be hurt, rather than to hurt others.
thanks and more power.
